Kuremal Mohan Lal Kulfi Waale

Oh man. This was the discovery of the century!

Tucked away in one of the narrow lanes of Chawri bazaar, this gem is totally worth suffering the heat and chaos. This place is known for its kulfis, but one kind in particular takes the cake: the stuffed kulfis.

Real fruits are stuffed with kulfis to create an other worldly experience for your palate. No words can ever do justice to the sheer awesomeness of having chilled stuffed mango kulfi in the middle of summer in Delhi. Every worry, every care in the world vanished for the few minutes we spent with this carefully crafted masterpiece.

Some of the other fruit options for the stuffed kulfis included orange, apple, and annar. All of them looked delicious too (We stalked the other customers).

The only complaint we have is that one plate cost 200 bucks, which seemed a little pricey for the location and ambience. Rest of the categories of Kulfi were only 60 bucks a plate.

If you live in Delhi/NCR/Gurgaon, please don’t miss out on this!

Located in the lane opposite gate number 1 of the Jama Masjid, this place is perfect for culminating your steamy session with food for the day.

After we’d filled ourselves to the brim with chicken tikkas and kebabs at Aslam’s chicken corner in the same lane, we made our way to this unassuming ice cream paradise for dessert.

We ordered the mango ice cream mixed with the shahi tukda. What a divine combination! In every bite, the warm, oozy tukda performed a sensuous dance with the cool, fruity goodness of the mango ice cream, entertaining my taste buds to their limits. A must have!

Located right at the entrance of the Paranthe wali gali, this famous sweet/snack shop holds its own.

You can browse through their offerings and either eat then and there or pack for home. In any case, the end result’ll be a satisfied palate.

What was great: The pyaaz kachori is to die for. So is the Karachi halwa

What was good: mini malai ghewar, aachari mathi, dal biji

What was okay: Dal pinni
